You don't need to do much to maximise a scrap car offer, but a handful of moves genuinely help. Here's what I'd do.

1. Keep it complete. Don't strip parts off — a whole car is worth more than the sum of bits sold separately plus a stripped shell.
2. Have the rego or VIN ready. It lets a buyer give a firmer, faster quote.
3. Mention what works. A new battery, good tyres, a recent cambelt or fresh repairs all add value.
